A Little About UsWe met at SUNY Potsdam in 1991 and were married in 1996 atBeardslee Castle in Little Falls, New York. Brian K. Meifert I am currently a Principal Software Engineer at Acopia Networks, located in Chelmsford, MA. I have been there since September of 2002. Up until June, 25th 2002, I was a senior software design/development engineer with Cereva Networks in Marlboro, MA. I had been with Cereva Networks for a about a year a half. As of June 25th, 2002 Cereva Networks closed their doors, and ended all business activities. Before that I was with Raytheon Company in Sudbury, MA, where I was employed for 6 and a half years. I started at Raytheon after graduating from Potsdam College of the State University of New York, with a BA in computer science. I am a C/C++ programmer by trade with work experience mostly under UNIX, Linux and VxWorks. I also have coded extensively in TCL/TK, creating everything from advanced GUI's, SNMP management applications, and a UDP based broadcast file transfer protocol. You can find my resume online here. I have been play guitar, and I'm an avid weight lifter, and have taken up woodworking and furniture building as a hobby. You can check out some of my furniture creations on my new furniture page. Katherine Engel Meifert I teach piano and voice in the Metro-west area near Boston. In addition to being a professional vocalist, I enjoy playing many other instruments. I received a Bachelors of Music in Music Education and Musical Studies from the Crane School of Music at Potsdam College. I am currently completing my Master of Music in Musicology at Boston University. I am honored to be an active member of the Sudbury Savoyards, a performing group that raises money for world hunger relief. In addition to my musical interests, I also enjoy volleyball, running, canoeing, hiking, and other various outdoor activities.
